Our @millbayfirerescue #Engine72 got all washed up for a special visit to #GeorgeBonnerElementry School this morning. One of our Captains had the honour of visiting and speaking to Ms. Ludwigs’s grade 1 class about #FirePrevention and everything else a class of 6yr olds can come up with! 😁

We have two of our members in Penticton this weekend participating in the 2022 Provincial Wildfire Training Symposium. This is an incredible opportunity of building skills and networking with other departments to improve our Provincial wildfire response on deployments.

We took advantage of an action packed #mutualaid #training evolution at the Ross Academic Building this weekend with our friends from Malahat Fire and Cowichan Bay Fire. The Crews were faced with locked doors requiring #forcibleentry and a simulated air handling unit fire requiring #roofops with our #laddertruck. It was an incredible and valuable opportunity to work with our mutual aid partners on a simulated fire in a commercial building. A very special thank you to @brentwoodboarding for providing us this incredible opportunity.

This past Wednesday we were provided an incredible opportunity by @brentwoodboarding to use the Ross Academic Building to run commercial structure fire scenarios. We aren’t provided opportunities like this very often and our whole crew took part in an extremely valuable training night that will undoubtedly improve our response for any similar incidents within our area. We are so grateful and appreciative of our community partners at Brentwood College for allowing us to use the building prior to its scheduled demolition.

This 2009 @rosenbauerus truck built on a @freightlinertrucks chassis can carry 3600usg of water to areas within our district that are not serviced by #firehydrants. This #firetruck is a beast that can move a lot of water!
