Recruitment 2017

March 20, 2017

The Communities of Cobble Hill and Mill Bay need you! (ANSWER THE CALL)

In 2016 Mill Bay Fire Department responded to 307 incidents. Last year 2017 we responded to 360 incidents. This increase shows me that our once small community is growing very fast. However we are still a bedroom community with the majority of our residences traveling to Victoria and Nanaimo for employment. This includes 90% of our firefighters. Yes we need daytime volunteers.

Do you have a desire to train and work with a very close team? Do you enjoy challenges? Are you up for great experiences? Do you want to be part of a great community……most important do you want to help your community?

Is your age from 16 – 60? and have no criminal record? Do you have a drivers licence? Do you have good health? Do you have some time? Do you have some previous training? (You don’t need any if you don’t….we will supply all the training)

Being a firefighter for one of British Columbia’s fire departments isn’t something you do: it’s something you are. If you have a desire to contribute to keep your community safe: YOU COULD BE A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER, WE NEED WOMEN AND MEN LIKE YOU!

Stop by, pick up an application, lets discuss your future……
